CDZ is owned and operated by Chas McCutcheon, David Lanka and Zack Schuller. All three guys grew up playing sports competitively and continued their athletic careers into college. Currently, all three are now fathers and coaches in Plain City for various programs and clubs. Chas, David, and Zack are committed to providing a quality training facility for those in our community! Chas McCutcheon grew up in Galloway, just west of Columbus, where he attended Westland High School. During his school years he participated in many sports, but focused his time on martial arts, soccer, and wrestling. Chas attended The University of Rio Grande after high school where he received degrees in Education, Psychology and Visual Arts. For the last 18 years Chas has worked in education, both in the classroom and mostly recently taking on an administrative role.
Starting his coaching career while attending Rio, Chas has been on the soccer field or mat-side for the last 22 years, coaching all levels of experience. In 2018, Chas revived the Alder Youth Wrestling program which has grown to a 3-team practice squad ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. Additionally Chas coaches’ soccer for Elite FC and wrestling at Jonathan Alder Junior High. He is also an active board member for the Jonathan Alder Soccer Association and is the Vice President of the Hellickson Youth Wrestling League in Columbus.
Chas and his wife (Kasey), daughter (Cora) and son (Kalan), moved to Plain City 10 years ago. Their daughter and son are both actively involved in many extra-curricular activities and sports in and around the community.

David Lanka grew up in Plain City and attended Jonathan Alder Local Schools. During high school, he helped petition and start the first-ever soccer team for JA while also playing basketball, running cross country, and playing club soccer for Elite FC. David went on to play soccer at Bluffton University while earning his degree in Middle Childhood Education. For the last 17 years, he has taught 5th grade mathematics at Canaan Middle School (JALSD). From 2007-2019, he coached Varsity Boys Soccer at JAHS before stepping down to have more time with family.
David is married to Jessica and they have two boys, Lucas and Marcus, who are actively involved in soccer and basketball. Currently, David coaches for Elite FC and recently served on the Jonathan Alder Soccer Association Board.
Z
Zack Schuller is originally from the Ohio Valley, graduating from Saint Clairsville High School. In high school he competed in wrestling becoming a 2x All- American, 3x Ohio State Placer and ranked as high as 4th in the nation. Zack earned a wrestling scholarship to the University of Missouri where he competed for the Tigers. After college, he coached wrestling at Saint Clairsville High School from 2008-2010 before moving to the Greater Columbus Area.
Additional Athletic History: Zack has completed 2 Columbus Marathons, several Half-Marathons and placed as high as 35th in the Arnold Classic Pump N’ Run. He is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with over 15 years of experience coaching, training and mentoring athletes of all ages.
Zack and his wife (Erika), daughter (Kamryn) and son (Kannon), moved to Plain City in 2020. His son and daughter compete in the various Pioneer Athletic Associations and Elite FC. Lastly, Zack has been assisting the Jonathan Alder High School wrestling program since 2021.
